If you arrive at the North section, Terminals B and C, there is an inter-terminal metro system leaving from Sheremetyevo Station 1 on floor 1 in Terminal B taking you to Sheremetyevo Station 2 in between terminals D and E in the South section of the airport. The train takes 4 minutes and it departures every 5-7 minutes depending on what time you are looking to use. This is a 24 hour service.

The rental car area includes all the car rental companies at Sheremetyevo Airport and is, as mentioned, on floor 1 in Terminal D right outside the duty free shop, and this includes the Avis rental car desk.
